Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle

Supporting recovery, restoring capacity and building confidence

Healthmarq provides evidence-based exercise physiology and rehabilitation services for people recovering from workplace and motor vehicle injuries. Our approach goes beyond treating the injury, adopting a biopsychosocial approach that considers the physical, psychological and social factors influencing recovery. We focus on restoring physical capacity, rebuilding confidence and supporting people to safely return to the activities, roles and routines that matter to them.

We understand the importance of clear communication and coordinated rehabilitation. Our clinicians work collaboratively with case managers, employers, treating practitioners and other stakeholders to ensure everyone understands the individual's progress, goals and rehabilitation needs.

Physical Injury Rehabilitation

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists develop individualised exercised-based rehabilitation programs for people recovering from a physical injury or illness.

Our recovery programs focus on:

  • Restoring strength, mobility and physical capacity

  • Improving functional movement and tolerance

  • Graded return to work and pre-injury activities

  • Work-specific conditioning and functional tasks

  • Building confidence with movement

  • Self-management and injury education

  • Supporting sustainable recovery and long-term independence

Psychological Injury Program

Healthmarq’s Physical Activity and Cognitive Empowerment (PACE) program is an evidence-based initiative designed to assist those recovering from psychological injuries, both primary and secondary.

Delivered one-on-one by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, PACE combines physical activity, module-based education and graded rehabilitation to help participants develop practical skills for managing their condition, rebuilding confidence and assisting in both physical and psychological recovery. We work collaboratively with the individual's existing treatment team, including psychologists and other health professionals, to complement the broader rehabilitation plan.
